Health Inequalities
Working Group: Inequalities in Health Psychology Research
Health is not equally distributed across the population. Factors such as socioeconomic position, ethnicity, health literacy, and gender contribute to disparities in health outcomes and mortality. Vulnerable groups are often underrepresented in research, and health interventions tend to be less effective or poorly implemented for these populations.
This working group brings together 10–15 researchers committed to addressing these inequalities through intersectional and collaborative approaches. Our activities include developing a joint paper, organizing sessions at the annual conference, and forming subgroups focused on specific topics. We work in a bottom-up manner, with the aim of forming new consortia and strengthening collaboration in the field.
